This historic postcard shows Plaça Weyler in Palma around 1910. At the corner with Carrer de sa Riera stands the Gran Hotel, built in 1903. The silver poplar that later became associated with the history of this emblematic building had not yet been planted. The former Gran Hotel is now home to the Fundación La Caixa.
