This historic view looks along Carrer de Colom from Plaça de Cort in Palma. The street was opened in 1865 and originally named after Juan Odón Colom. During the review and standardisation of Palma's street names in the 1980s, the name was changed to the Catalan form, Colom. The photograph also records the busy commercial character of the street, with shops, pedestrians and a tram running through the centre.
