This photograph shows one of the triumphal arches erected in Sóller in 1904. The royal yacht Giralda, carrying King Alfonso XIII, was expected on 24 April. Local societies including Círculo Sollerense, Unión and Fomento Agrícola Sollerense prepared triumphal arches for the visit. A storm forced the royal journey to be cancelled.
